On the beach! This attractive cottage was designed by Jaco Visser a well known West Coast architect after the traditional thatch roofed fishermen's cottages of the area and is literally a 'stone's throw' from the beach & sea - separated only by a narrow strip of indigenous 'fynbos' vegetation.
The 4 metre wide glass doors of the large living area open onto a patio with a built-in braai (barbeque). From here (or from the living room) there are unsurpassed views of the beach & sea - ideal for whale & dolphin watching! In the living room is a huge traditional fireplace which is not only for warmth, but serves as an indoor cooking facility should you want to braai or make a potjie on cooler winter evenings.
All three bedrooms are en-suite, the main bedroom with bath & shower, and the
other two with shower only. The main and second bedrooms have queen size beds
while the third bedroom has a double bed.
The cottage is fully appointed and includes a microwave and DSTV in the lounge
and main bedroom.
In this cottage you will feel at home in the unique fishing village of Paternoster. Use this to just 'chill out' or as a base to explore the west coast - the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve is nearby & in the spring the area is a riot of colour with the veld flowers coming into bloom. For those who like crayfish this is the land of plenty - you will not be missed by the street hawkers selling their wares - & for first timers there's always someone to tell you how to cook them!
