The house is located on top of a coastal dune with stunning views, overlooking the beautiful secluded Tofino beach. This beach is only a very short, but challenging walk, from the house. Although it is not the best for swimming , due to very strong cross currents, it is lovely for walks, fishing and relaxing. The main Tofo beach is, however, only a 10 minutes drive of 2.5km away and is arguably the best swimming beach in Mozambique. Tofo also offers a wide variety of restaurants and activities (including scuba diving and training, ocean safaris, fishing charters, kayaking, surfing, surfing lessons, spa treatments and yoga).

It is very important to note that the house can only be reached with a 4x4 vehicle. Some visitors ignore this and then become upset if they get stuck or are unable to drive to the house. In Tofo 4x4 hire can be arranged through Tofo 4x4 Hire. Due to its beautiful location on top of a dune overlooking the sea, the house is not accessible by wheelchair or by a person with a serious walking disability. Toddlers are welcome; however, they will require full time supervision on the large open deck, or if the doors onto the deck are left open.

The house, constructed in a rustic traditional Mozambican style, can accommodate eight people. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are open plan and spacious. Kitchen appliances include a fridge/freezer, microwave/convection oven, kettle, gas stove and open gas grill. Due to the high fire danger of the house and unpredictability of the wind, barbeques and open fires are not permitted, the open gas grill works especially well for seafood.

There is no WiFi installed at the house. There is, however, generally very good mobile phone and 3G reception. International roaming is very expensive and, depending on the length of your stay in Mozambique, we suggest you obtain a local prepaid SIM card for both voice and data at your point of entry into Mozambique, or from one of the service providers in Inhambane. BED CONFIGURATION
Two beds in the main bedroom with en suite toilet, handwash basin and shower, two beds in the second bedroom and four beds on the mezzanine floor. The second bedroom and mezzanine floor share a separate toilet and handwash basin and a separate shower and handwash basin. All beds are three quarter size (107cm x 188cm) and can be used as twin beds or as a double bed.
