Right in front of Camarque, there is a safe tidal pool, which is perfect for a dip in the warm Indian ocean all the year round.
The village has several very good restaurants, and a Spar for your day to day needs, all of which are a short walk away.
Camarque, a complex of apartments built into the hill, is situated opposite the life guard station. It has secure underground parking and a fenicular rail car will take you up to the ninth floor.
The complex has a private swimming pool, paddling pool and barbecue area on the roof. There is a maid service which can be arranged if you wish via the Manager's office on-site.
The spectacular 180° sea view from Durban in the south to Ballito in the north can be enjoyed from the terrace which has sunshine throughout the day. The terrace is 30' square with a shaded area over the dining table and chairs for eight people. There is a kettle barbecue and recliners also for guests use. Depending on the time of year, you can watch the whales migrating right in front of you, so bring your binoculars.
The apartment is very light and the decor gives a fresh feel that is very appealing by the sea. It has one queen size bedroom en-suite, a further bathroom, 2x singled bedroom and one twin bedroom. All the beds will be made up prior to your arrival including towels etc, but please bring your own beach towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with large cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The stylish living room has satellite TV, DVD and hi-fi and opens onto the magnificent terrace. The apartment has a big wow factor and what could be more relaxing than going to sleep to the sound of the breakers crashing below.
