African Spirit Game Lodge accommodation is intimate and consists of 4 quaint, fully serviced chalets which accommodates 2 adults each (Total – sleeps 8)

Each comfortable and stylish chalet accommodates 2 people each (twin beds – can be converted into a king size bed or be separated if singles are required) with an en-suite bathroom (showers only), air-conditioner, mini- bar fridge, ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities. Each chalet has a private veranda where guests can relax in their own privacy and enjoy the tranquillity of the bush. The paths are well-lit and connect the chalets to the main lodge. A single stretcher bed can be added per chalet for children 12 and younger.

Please note: THERE ARE NO TV’S IN THE CHALETS.

  • A morning and/or afternoon game drive in one of our open safari vehicles led by a trained guide.
  • Snacks and drinks on both game drives.

  • A generous full English breakfast served on return from your game drive.
  • Light afternoon tea/coffee and something to snack on.
  • A hearty three course South African dinner.

Manyoni Private Game Reserve Conservation Fee:              

Every visitor to the Manyoni Private Game Reserve will pay a conservation fee which will be added onto their account.

R 175.00 per adult per night

R 90.00 per child per night (Between 4 – 12 years)

Free for children between 0 – 3 years

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Meals for CATERED GUESTS (CHALETS) ONLY:

  • Continental breakfast is served anytime from 07h30 (including cereals, yoghurt, muffins and fruit salad with coffee/tea/fruit juice).
  • A full English breakfast can be enjoyed anytime from 07h30.
  • Some guests prefer to have a full breakfast early morning and some a bit later, depending on whether they are going out for the day, or not.  We are a much smaller lodge and our kitchen is not open throughout the day.
  • Most of our guests normally have a full breakfast at around 08h30 - they go out for the rest of the day to visit places of interest in our area and have lunch there.  Please visit our website to see the various excursions available in our area. Most of them do have restaurants.
  • We do not serve LUNCH! Therefore, if guests stay in and don’t go out exploring, we prefer to serve our full English breakfast as a brunch at around 10h30.
  • Dinner is served from 19h00 in the evening, consisting of a 3 course meal. We serve buffet style and not A’ la Carte.  We have a set menu every night which we work out ahead of time.
  • Please inform us at the time of making your booking about any food allergies or dietary requirements.

Housekeeping:

Please note:  All our units are serviced once daily before midday, anytime from 08h00am. When the ladies come to clean, please do not ask them to come back as there are other units to clean.

No cleaning services are available for self-catering guests on Sundays and Public Holidays.

 

Baby-sitting:

No baby-sitting facilities.

 

Laundry:

A laundry list is provided in the washing basket of your chalet which you can complete and place in laundry bag.  The charges incurred will be charged to your account as an extra. Laundry will be done, as far as possible on the same day.

 

 

GAME DRIVES - (Minimum 2 people)

PLEASE BOOK GAME DRIVES IN ADVANCE – BEFORE CHECK IN

 

GAME DRIVE INCLUDES:

  • Snacks
  • One complimentary soft drink, local beer or water per guest. All other beverages will be charged to guest’s account. Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol on the game drive.
  • 2h30 to 3h00 Game Drive

No children under the age of 4 years are allowed on the Game drives.

 

We offer morning and afternoon game drives which will allow you to get close to Africa’s wildlife in an open vehicle with a trained guide.  Game drives can be arranged on request, with 24 hours notice.

 

If it rains before check in or during your stay you will be given the option to go on a Game Drive, however, we can often only travel on the Main roads depending on the amount of rain we had. Most off the reserve have cotton soil and properties will be closed to minimize damage to the roads.

If it starts raining during your Game Drive, the Game Drive will unfortunately be cut short for the safety of our guests.  Full payment for a Game Drive will still apply as weather conditions are out of our control.

 

Important:  we cannot guarantee any specific sightings and you may not see all the animals you wanted to see, it’s a Safari, wild and uncontrolled, which makes it exciting.  Embrace what you do see and most of all enjoy every moment.

 

No self-drives are allowed in the Reserve.

 

Please note: Parents must be advised that game drives are 2h30 to 3 hours long and it will be appreciated if children are supervised to consider the other guests on the game drive. We have the Big 5 and it is imperative that noise levels be kept to the minimum for safety reasons.

Game drive times can change due to weather conditions.

 

 

 

Please make sure you have your visitors permit stamped at reception before departure, as they will not let you off the reserve without it.

 

Check-in time is from 14:00 for cleaning purposes. If you know that you will arrive before that, please notify us in advance.  Check-in time is NO LATER THAN 20H00.

Check-out time is strictly before 10:00, due to new arrivals.

 

If you are interested in making a booking with us, please confirm via e-mail and we will send you an invoice of which 50% deposit must be paid to confirm and secure your booking.

 

The balance of your accommodation must be settled in full upon arrival and all extras can be settled at the end of your stay.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Once you have made a booking and don’t show, we require at least a full night’s fee for  the first night and the total booking fee for your entire stay during peak seasons. We have to be informed of all cancellations by email or phone.

 

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 4 weeks prior to arrival - 25% of full amount
  • 3 weeks prior to arrival - 50% of full amount
  • 2 weeks prior to arrival - 75% of full amount
  • 1 week prior to arrival - 100% of full amount

An administration fee of 7% will be charged on all cancellations for existing bookings to cover admin and bank charges.

 

COVID INFORMATION

Health and safety protocol

Guest taking part in our game drive activities will be separated by an open seat with a dedicated guide for the duration of their stay.

Dining tables/areas will be pre-sterilized prior to being used.

Dining tables will be 1.5m apart, grouped according to group sizes to support social distancing.

Buffet dining has been eliminated and meals are prepared with various health & safety protocols in check.

 

All staff have their temperatures checked daily in a non-invasive manner.

All guest need to complete a government approved Covid checklist upon checking in.

 

We have sanitizers (with a minimum of 70% alcohol) available throughout the entire lodge and surrounding areas to ensure constant sanitizing after getting in contact with any/all “shared” surfaces.

 

We no longer shake hands and avoid any physical form of contact upon arrival.

We encourage broad smiles and happy verbal greetings to share the love.

 

Communal areas and guests accommodation are well spaced.

 

Our staff are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment. Guest are to bring their own face masks, if you do not have one, we have masks available at our reception office.

 

Our terms & Conditions

•             Any reservation not confirmed with a deposit within the stipulated period (3 days) will be cancelled automatically.

•             Cancellation of any reserved booking must be made in writing to our e-mail address.

•             In the event of a verified Covid related issue no fee will be charged when making a change to an already confirmed or reserved booking to another date; subject to availability.

•             In the event of a verified Covid related issue no fee will be charged when cancelling or amending your booking during peak seasons (long weekends, Easter Holidays, School Holidays). However, if you have made a booking and do not show and/or communicate with us, we can require at least a full night’s fee or the total booking fee for your entire stay, if we can’t find a replacement booking.

•             In the event of premature departure, or cancellation during intended stay, guests will be liable for the full payment of pre-booked stay accept when the reason being a verified Covid related reason.

•             An administration fee of 7% will be charged on all cancellations for existing bookings for admin and bank charges to do refunds.
