Witfontein is a quiet and peaceful farm where you can truly get away from it all
without compromising on comfort and style...
Guillau and Lorraine will personally welcome you on Witfontein, which is
situated on the R353 road, 25km from Fraserburg on your way to Williston.
Witfontein is a working farm where we farm mainly with Merino sheep. Farm
animals graze nearby which amuse guests and especially the children, who like to
milk the cow, give the "hans" lambs milk or watch Simba, the sheepdog, gather
the ducks...
The guest HOUSiE is 80m from the main house. Your fully equipped HOUSiE, with
three bedrooms, is tastefully decorated with own garden and lawn-
- Double bed bedroom, with en-suite shower, basin and toilet
- Two single beds bedroom
- One singe bed bedroom
- One single bed alongside lounge
- Second bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet
- Spacious "kuier" - kitchen
Ceiling fans keep you cool in summer and electric blankets keep you warm in
winter!
- Linen and towels provided
- Coffee/tea/sugar/milk/rusks/braaisalt
By prior arrangement an option -
- Warm breakfast served in main house
Available on request -
- Karoo lamb chops and boerewors
- Salads and/or bread dough to make "roosterkoek" on your own braai
Let us take you on a trip on the back of a "bakkie" to see interests of
bygone times - ostrich eggs still buried, place where Bushmen lived, klip
kraals, rock with handwriting dating from 1913!
In the evening - watch the moon, stars and planets through our telescope. Drink
in the total silence and perfectly clear night skies OR relax with dvd's
available (or bring yours with)...
Visit our town, Fraserburg, which is one of the most authentic and well
preserved Karoo towns.
