Nestled below the majestic Ncaga Mountain, overlooking the activities of a working farm, lies the Whistling Duck Farm Cottage. The Cottage is self catering, has three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room and is serviced daily. The cottage is situated in the heart of Lüneburg which was established as a german missionary post in 1854 - today Lüneburg has an active farming community, is home to the oldes german school in Northern KZN, boasts an excellent butchery, a unique farm cash store and 2 beautiful churches which are well worth a visit.

Historical events are abundant in this area including famous Zulu wars, as well as Anglo Bower history - for those who are not afraid of dirt roads and prepared to explore a little 2 registered guides are available to share their knowledge of the events in the area.

For the outdoor enthusiast there are a host of acitivites, including hiking trails, bass fishing in 4 of the dams found on the farm, horse trails, mountain biking, birding and angling for yellow fish in the nearby Pongola River.
