Westend House lies at the end of West River Road on the banks of the West Kleinemonde estuary, less than a kilometres walk from a beautiful safe swimming beach flanked by two saltwater lagoons.
It is a luxurious and spacious home built in and around the natural vegetation and very private but secure.

The house consists of two units, of which the upper main unit is for rent.

Main Unit
The main unit has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6), 3 bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with uninterrupted views of the river and opens on to a very large deck with deckchairs and loungers. There is also a second outside braai and eating area facing the other side, so that one is always sheltered from the wind on one side. There is a double garage, DSTV (PVR), microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, gas stove, outside shower and library. The large lounge has sliding doors on both sides leading on to the decks, two comfortable couches and a wood burning stove for the winter months.

The master bedroom with high ceilings has a double bed facing on to the deck and river, large built-in cupboards, bath with river view and a large shower. The second bedroom is a twin (3/4 beds) facing the garden with an adjoining bathroom with bath and shower. The third bedroom is on the mezzanine level and boasts amazing sea and river views, a working space, and a free standing bath in its own bathroom. It has 2 3/4 beds and a TV with its own DSTV channel.

LOWER UNIT (Sleeps 4)

The lower level (135 m2) has its own entrance and a large deck also overlooking the river (the property is built on a slope). There are 2 large twin en-suite bedrooms (3/4 beds), one with freestanding bath and spacious walk in shower, a fully equipped open plan kitchen with breakfast nook and dishwasher, and a lounge with TV (DSTV channel from above), a pantry and storage room. All rooms have large sliding doors leading on to the deck. The flat is serviced once per week.

The property is serviced once a week (more on request) and fully fenced with security system, electric gate and intercom.

The holiday village of Kleinemonde lies 15 km north-east of Port Alfred on the R72 coastal road in the Eastern Cape Province, approximately halfway between East London and Port Elizabeth. There is a small supermarket, cafe, bottle store, a restaurant and pub, tennis court and community hall. Activities include canoeing, boating, fishing, bird watching, swimming, surfing, dune boarding, hiking, horse-riding to name a few.

The house is not suitable for small children due to the high decks and luxurious furnishings (minimum age 6).
