This lovely large beach home is "right on the beach" at the end of a quiet
cul-de-sac and totally private with beautiful views of the sea. The beach is
lovely and quiet, with superb rock pools and waves.
The house has five bedrooms (2 Double, 3 Twin), sleeping ten, (bed linen provided) two full
bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, scullery, washing machine, stove, microwave,
fridges and deep freeze. A barbeque and Weber are provided for outdoor cooking.
All you need to bring are towels and food.
The large verandah has an enormous dining table overlooking the sea, the perfect
place to enjoy lunch or dinner on a hot day. This leads on to an open-plan
sitting/dining room. A TV is supplied, and guests' are requested to take their
own DStv cards if they require more that the four SABC channels.
Westbrook House has an awesome wooden deck - many peaceful, happy times are
spent sitting overlooking the sea enjoying morning coffee or a sundowner.
The swimming pool is convenient when one wants to quickly "cool-off", or you can
walk down the garden path to the beach for a refreshing splash in the surf.
A very special feature of the totally indigenous garden is the largest milkwood
tree you have ever seen, lovely for children to climb, and with a shower fitted
to wash off the salt and sand on return from the beach.
The house has a resident caretaking couple, the housekeeper being a very
special, caring person, who will cater for guests every comfort.
When one needs to leave this private, peaceful place, Ballito and Umhlanga, and
Durban and within ten to 15 minutes drive away, offering a variety of
supermarkets, restaurants, cinemas and sporting amenities.
The house is protected by a security area and electronic gate serving the last
six houses along the road, as well as an electronic alarm system. There is a
spare room for a "nanny"/ baby-sitter.
