Waterside Lodge is perfectly situated along the main road in
Piet Retief, which is halfway between the North Coast and the Lowveld, next to the Piet Retief dam which offers fishing and birdwatching in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere with beautiful surroundings.
This is the ideal place for any tourist or businessman who either want to relax or enjoy a good night's sleep in one of our 34 en-suite rooms/chalets. Our rooms offer a view over the dam, sattelite television, braai facilities, laundry facilities, large secure parking, as well as covered parking.
Accommodation:
- Rooms: We can accommodate 2 persons in this room. Inside are two single beds/one double bed, television, coffee facilities, shower, toilet and linen.
- Chalets: We can accommodate between 2 to 3 persons in the chalet. Inside are two single beds or one double bed, television, coffee facilities, bath, shower & toilet, linen, garage for your vehicle and braai facilities.
- Self-Catering: We can accommodate between 2 to 4 persons in this room. Inside are one to two queen beds, small kitchen, bathroom, television, coffee facilities and linen.
- Family Room: We can accommodate up to 5 persons in this room. Inside are two single beds, one queen bed, bathroom, television, kitchen, lounge and dining area.
Located on the premises within walking distance from the lodge is a full a la Carte restaurant "Grotto Pub & Grill" and a fast food outlet "Fries & Company".
We also have conference facilities available which offer seating for up to 100 persons and we supply catering for the workshops/conferences which are held here.
