The Vuyani Safari Lodge is a top end luxury safari lodge. With only 5 suites
(3 luxury suites and 2 honeymoon suite chalets), on a 36,000 acres conservancy
and private game reserve, it is in a class of its own. Minute attention to
details, exclusive safaris on our huge private game reserve, outstanding food by
a renowned South African chef, as well as breathtaking views onto the famous
Drakensberg mountains make for one of the most fabulous safari experiences in
South Africa.
Our private game reserve is home to lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants,
giraffes, hippos, zebras, and much other typical African wildlife. Our safari
experience is very much one of traditional tracking. No Formula 1-type "tick the
Big5 and move on" on our reserve! We are for connoisseurs who want to spend
proper time observing wildlife without being disturbed by other game drivers
coming and going. We only operate 2 game drivers on the entire game reserve at a
time! This sort of safari exclusivity is very rare in Africa, if not completely
unique.
We also offer a large selection of day trips and activities, which complement
well with the morning and afternoon safaris. The most popular ones are visits to
the Cheetah Rescue Centre, cruises on the Blyde River Canyon (the third largest
canyon in the world), day trips to the Kruger Park, and elephant back safaris
(at either Elephant Whispers or the Camp Jabulani). We have recently also added
visits to a close-by black African village, where one can see the realities of
African life. The visit to the local school is particularly moving and gives the
opportunity to support the local community, which is improving its life
conditions step by step already.
