The charming self catering country style cottage is situated between Lady Grey and Barkly East and it has panoramic views of kilometres that is absolutely breath taking. It gives one the feeling of that you are looking into the future.

All the way driving there from any direction it offers outstanding views that are unique of this area.

The beauty of this place/farm is that it is a holiday destination, because of its, unique site in a spacious typical Magazine style garden with outstanding features, walks, dams and pure nature.

We also offer outstanding hospitality that is difficult to match and this is the kind of place where one goes to get your head clear.

It is ideally en-route only a 110 km before the popular town of Rhodes where our only SA snow-ski resort, Ben MacDui is situated.

Special features of Vorstershoek Farm Cottage:

It is also in the vicinity of the unique town of Lady Grey where the Passion Play is offered by the Lady Grey Arts Academy every Easter weekend.

Two unique experiences. One in summer and one in winter. Two different worlds in one place.

It is in a heavy snow-fall area and any one who wants to experience snow, a snow man and a snowball fight should come and experience it right here.

Access to the unique breeding place (colony) of the rare cape vulture. In Afrikaans die "Kaapse Krans aasvo".

Access to the outstanding Bushman paintings on the adjacent farm Lammermoor.

Both Lady Grey, Barkly East and New England has Panoramic views.
