Self Catering With Communal Kitchen Accommodation

There are three blocks comprising two air conditioned en suite rooms per
block totaling six rooms ( four sleeper )they have coffee making facilities in
the rooms.Ice is available for the rooms from the main area free of charge along
with ice buckets.
The town of Bilene has two bottle stores, two filling stations, a local market
selling fruit, vegetables, fresh fish prawns etc.. Two local chemists do malaria
tests with results in aprox 30 minutes. Treatment is then offered if necessary.
Helicopter evacuation arranged on the main private clinic within 1,5 hrs. There
are two good restaurants both with lagoon views in the vicinity. Everything in
Bilene is within 5 min walking distance.
There is a charge for boat launching from all launch sites (see rates). This is
a general maritime law in Mozambique. If you support the two local main
restaurants on the beach and speak to the owners Jose and Ruiz ,they will waiver
the fee on most requests.
Lagoon assess is two minutes away ( walking ) beach 5 min boat ride to the surf
or approximately 20 min 4 x 4 route.
We have a boat on our premises for our guests ( fuel and rental extra ). Around
the lagoon locals also hire their boats.
Dstv not available as yet but will be installed in July 2009 in the main
communal building along with a pool table, darts, cards and board games are
available.
Snorkelling at the mouth is a fantastic experience in calm shallow waters. For
the fitter and adventurous snorkeling in the sea at low tide at the rock pools
is as good as any dive. Fishing is also good from the shore right of same rock
pools.
4 x 4 routes are as fantastic with rural village drive by a must.( if you have
old books, clothes and toys etc to distribute among the community it is highly
appreciated and very fulfilling ).
For water sports there is no better, boating, skiing/ kneeboarding, kiting, jet
skiing etc.
Sundowners are an absolute must as the dying sun throws some incredible colours
on the lagoon.( photos to follow ).
Buggy hire also exciting on the dunes in surrounding area.
As an overnighter or two to Inhambane or beyond its the perfect destination.
