Located in the peaceful and picturesque Hatton Estates in Pinetown, Underwood
Bed & Breakfast offers a social and friendly environment where you can unwind,
relax and feel at home. Owners Gail (a boertjie) and Tony (a Scotsman), love
entertaining and spoiling people, which is why you are guaranteed to be in good
hands when visiting this charming B&B.
An animal-friendly home with a welcoming ;licenced sports bar, a 42 inch Plasma
screen TV, where smoking is allowed, and we have braai facilities outside the
thatched pub area (Our pub is licenced). A lush garden and plenty of parking, Underwood B&B boasts
four beautifully decorated en-suite double bedrooms - or a cosy cottage for
those who are planning on staying a little longer. Every room is equipped with
air-con, DStv, a fridge and Complimentary tea & coffee facilities. Rooms can be
made into twins if so desired.
Breakfast consists of freshly baked muffins, cereals, fruits and yoghurts,
and/or a full English fry-up for those who prefer something more substantial.
Packed lunches and dinners on request. Special dietary requirements can be
catered for. Laundry can be done.
With easy access to highways such as the M7 and the M13, and only 40 minutes
away from New King Shaka Airport ,15 minutes from Durban City Centre, and 25
minutes from Umhlanga Rocks, Underwood B&B is the perfect KZN destination for
both business and leisure travellers.
Car Hire is within walking distance. And major shopping centres, as well as
major chain store takeaways and lots of restaurants are all close at hand.
Many internationally recognized tourist attractions are within a 30 minutes
drive. Such as: Game Viewing at Tala Game Reserve, "Zulu Experience" at Phezulu
Safari Park on the Valley of a Thousand Hills, UShaka Marine World, (a must see
for the whole family). Closer to home is the beautiful Marianhill Monestary with
it's rich history spanning over a hundred years. Hikes, and tours are organised
there on a regular basis for the walking enthusiasts, and it has a lovely tea
garden where the sound of the chanting monks in the background brings peace to
the soul.
As we are situated opposite the Catholic Church, this could be ideal for people
who might be visiting the church, to take a piece of history home with them.
