The name originates from the Zulu word 'ukhozi' meaning 'eagle'.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of the Central Drakensberg and a Private Game Reserve lies Ukhozi Bush Lodge. We have provided every facility for an unforgettable family holiday. Ideal for groups of family or friends. Four hours from Johannesburg and only two and a half hours from Durban.

Ukhozi features 4 bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with queen and single bed, one with two single beds, one with double and single bed). Three bathrooms (two en suite).

Each room has been uniquely furnished and has a view onto the 2 ha park like gardens.

Tastefully decorated lounge (with DStv), spacious dining room, fully equipped kitchen and scullery. Under floor heating throughout.

Linen and towels provided, serviced. 

Catch the warmth of the African sun or cool yourself down in the pool. Relax in the spacious lapa or on the patio while you enjoy a traditional braai. At night sit under the magical stars around a specially designed fire pit. Ukhozi is a birding paradise (including various eagles, fish eagles and mahems). Boat trips offered on the 100 ha dam in front of the lodge. In a radius of 30 km there are numerous activities on offer. These include:
