Rayton

Rayton
Rayton is a small mining suburb in Gauteng. It was named after Lady Rachel Ray Williston and is well known for it's quality diamond and crystals.

Attractions:
While visiting Rayton you and your family will be able to spend time at the Cullinan Diamond Mine which is well known the largest uncut diamond ever found. The mine offers surface and underground tours of the mine which is an experience not to be missed. Another interesting attraction for the whole family is the Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum which consists of two farmhouses with vintage tractors and horse drawn wagons. The homes are full of beautiful antiques which captures the warmth and illustrates the way of life in the 1920's. The Museum hosts many annual festivals which will be well worth your while. It is open daily between 9am to 3pm.

Climate:
Rayton enjoys warm to hot summer months with most rainfall as thunderstorms in the evenings and cool to very cold winter months.
