Located on the border with Mozambique, the Tembe Elephant Park was created in 1989 in order to provide sanctuary to the remaining Maputoland elephant population that had been decimated by poaching.
Although primarily known for it's elephants, the reserve is also home to the tiny Suni which stands about 12-17 inches at the shoulder, making it the worlds smallest antelope.
Note: A 4x4 vehicle will be required to navigate the sandy roads within the trail.
