Short Street, Riebeek Kasteel, home to Ancient Spirit (stunning clothing), Luv It (gorgeous home decor goodies), Crisp (fresh produce, etc) Bar Bar Blacksheep, Wine Collective and Mullineux Winery (closed on weekends, but the Wine Collective does tastings) and more. This rather famous little street is one of the most idyllic places to host a country market.

The Riebeek Valley Country Fair Medfest celebrates all things local from the Swartland area, with something for everyone, from the young to the not-so-young. Some of the stalls include: Handmade iron work by J Neethling - really popular, especially for avid gardeners. Kasteel Kat: olives, olive Oil and tapenade - all made in the valley. Aitsa: yummy homemade treats from around the valley. Darling Mushrooms: assorted mushrooms on a kebab stick - absolutely to die for! A Touch of India: the most awesome samoosas (try the very popular snoek & feta), springrolls, spices, dips, atcha and more by Shameema. Purely Ideas: a range of wonderful products including Purely Sweets, the most awesome sugar free, preservative free sweeties that the kids absolutely love. They also do sand art, which gets sold as Purely Sand. Let the kids play at a table in the restaurant while grown ups enjoy a Medfest meal and Fiamma's Foods: loads of delicious homemade savoury & sweet treats.

The market starts at 9:00 so you are encouraged to grab a cuppa coffee from Bar Bar, relax and enjoy the Medfest Market atmosphere.

The Medfest usually takes place on the last weekend of March each year.
