Kookwaterfees
The Kookwaterfees is held in Calendon in the Western Cape. It is an annual event and attracts many local visitors and visitors from around the country. It is unique in that it it's a picnic style festival. Take your blanket, chairs and picnic baskets and relax in the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Kookwaterfees is a great way for the whole family to enjoy a day together. There is so much to see and do. The popular fleamarket offers a large variety of arts and crafts and delicious foods to browse and purchase. There will also be wine tasting, cheese tasting, live entertainment and a beer garden for the adults. The children will enjoy a variety of activities such as jumping castles, face painting, wall climbing and much more.
One of the main attractions to the festival is the "Little Miss Caledon" competition. The competition offers two categories, ages 4 - 7 years and teenagers. There are great prizes to be won and loads of fun, music, food and laughter to be had.
Gates open at 10am. Don't miss out on this fun filled day.
