The Hands-On Harvest takes place in the Western Cape in the Robertson Wine Valley. The Harvest is an annual event and is well supported by locals and visitors from all over the country. Although the event has only been running for three years, each year has been a great success and is growing bigger and better each year. There is so much to see and do. Guests can look forward to picking grapes, stomping grapes, sorting grapes, as well as a variety of wine tasting and wine blending to mention only a few of the Hands-On experiences. The Hands-On Harvest runs over three days. Last year it was held between the 25th and 27th February 2011. Dates for 2012 are still to be confirmed.
Each winery in the valley offers a variety of exciting things to do from wine tasting, tours, picnics, boat trips on the Breede River and much much more. The weekend is filled with interesting and fun activities for the whole family. There is live music, activities for children and great prizes.
The groups are kept small to allow for a more intimate experience where you can enjoy everything on offer.
