Rondebosch Golf Club
Only ten minutes from the Cape Town city centre you will find a must-play 18-hole golf course with stunning views of Devils Peak and Table Mountain. The course which was first established in 1911 is a popular choice for locals and foreign visitors. The clubs solid tradition is upheld by its strong membership and over the years the course has developed into a course that is a pleasure to play all year round. 1994 saw some significant changes when the river, which winds through the course, was widened and allowed for the course to be completely redesigned and restored to its former status as a superb championship rated golf course. The signature hole at Rondebosch is the Par 4 16th hole which is played between the River on the left and a large dam on the right. The course has a parkland layout and has a total distance of 6223 meters for the men and 5197 meters for the ladies, carrying a full 72 championship rating. The course still remains a challenge to the serious golfer while its user friendliness makes it enjoyable for the novice and less experienced. Over the years the club has hosted seven consecutive Sunshine Tour events, 2 professional ladies European Tour events and the South African Ladies Amateur Open.
The Pro Shop at Rondebosch Golf Club is attended by PGA professionals who are always on hand to offer advice and golf instruction while providing you with a wide range of quality clothing and accessories. The pro shop also supplies golf carts, clubs and trolleys for rental.
The Half-way house at Rondebosch Golf Club takes care of that thirst by providing you with a fully stocked bar and the delicious food will make sure that you never go hungry. There is nowhere else for you to relax with friends, after playing a round of golf, quite like the half-way house at Rondebosch.

In order to maintain the high standards at the club, there is a strict smart casual dress code which they ask all members and visitors to adhere to. While on the course and in the clubhouse they request that no stonewashed, bleached or torn denims, T shirts, vests, draw-string shorts, running shorts, track suits, overalls, beachwear, flip-flops, close fitting cycle-type shorts, tube-tops, very short shorts or skirts, be worn and no bare midriffs be made visible.
On the Course:
Footwear: Golf sandals are permitted on the course.
Men must wear a sleeved shirt with either a collar or crew neck.
Ladies may wear sleeveless golf shirts. No strap tops.

Proceed east on the N2.
Exit the N2 at the M5 Highway(Exit 9) off-ramp.
Proceed south (towards Muizenberg) on the M5 Highway (Kromboom Parkway Highway).
After about 500m, exit the M5 Highway at the Milner Road off-ramp, and at the traffic lights turn left into Klipfontein Road(M18).
Proceed on Klipfontein Road, and pass underneath the M5 Highway, then turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Golf Course Road.
Take the next (immediate) left, and this road will take you to the clubhouse.
