Lory Park Zoo

The Lory Park Zoo is situated in the Midrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a sanctuary to a large variety of wildlife. This beautiful park is an educational facility where you will be educated on the rehabilitation of the environment and much more. The park is well kept and the animals are loved and looked after by owners, Eddy and Matty van Eck along with a passionate team of staff members. The park is a great way to spend the day with your family.
Most of the animals at the park are on the endangered list. Some of the bigger animals at the park are the big cats such as the Bengal Tiger, Cheetah, Lynx, Jaguar, Leopard, Lion, Puma and Siberian Tiger. Smaller cats like the Ocelot and a variety of prime -mate species can also be seen at the Lory Park Zoo as well as a large variety of birds and reptiles.

The Park has a lovely Tea Garden where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal and something to drink.

Directions
From Johannesburg
Take the N1 towards Pretoria. Take Allandale offramp at Midrand. Turn right over the highway. Third traffic light (incl. the traffic light on the highway) turn left onto the K101/R101 Road. Turn right at the fourth traffic light which is Dale Road. Turn right at the third road which is Kruger Road. Go straight down Kruger, pass a stop street and the zoo is about 800m on the right hand side.

From Pretoria
Take the N1 towards Johannesburg. Take New Road off ramp and turn left. At the second traffic light turn right into Old Pretoria Road. Turn left into Dale at third traffic light. At the third road on the right, turn into Kruger Road. Go straight down Kruger, pass a stop street and the zoo is about 800m on the right hand side.
