Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve
The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is found in the beautiful town of Franschhoek in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It is situated in part of the UNESCO Boland Biosphere Reserve. This is a wonderful getaway for the whole family. Here you will appreciate nature and enjoy a variety of hiking trails for all fitness levels. There are shorter hikes, from 2 hours to full day hikes to choose from. All are exciting and worth your while. Along these walks you will get to admire and take in the most beautiful and breathtaking views of the reserve and the valley and on a clear day, you can see as far as Cape Town's infamous, Table Mountain.
Permits and maps are available through the Tourism Office, Huguenot Museum and Protea Hotel(24 hrs).
