Joubert House

Joubert House
The Joubert House is a small museum in Montagu in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is beautifully furnished and the interior furniture and decor have been restored and made to look like it did in the old days.

In 1975 this museum was declared a National Monument and was reopened by the State President in 1983. The Museum has many antiques and other interesting items to view that bring back the true feel of the house. There is a very interesting nursery at the museum with many indigenous medicinal plants. The plants are for sale to the public. You will not only learn a lot about the history of the area but also how these plants are used for medicinal purposes.
