Goedverwacht Wine Estate

120 Hectares of beautifully situated farmland on the banks of the Breede river in the famous Roberson Valley, that is where Jan du Toit, his wife Marian and three children, Gawie, Marisa and Robert call home, that is what we call the Goedverwacht Wine Estate. The estate is divided into 9 different vineyards, each cultivating a specific grape for a specific wine, the vineyards produce up to 1 million litres of wine per year. The vineyards can produce substantially more than this, but in order to produce the finest quality wines, production is limited. Almost half of the estates wine is exported to the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada. Apart from the wine being produced on the farm, Jan has also kept part of the land for grazing for his dairy which produces fresh milk for the Western Cape Area.

Trading Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 to 17:30
Saturday: 10:00 to 13:00
Tours of the cellars can also be arranged as well as cheese and olive platters, but these must be booked in advance.
