Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail

Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail
The Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail is approximately 15.8km and has become very popular amongst locals and visitors. It runs through the Riviersonderend Mountain Range and has the most spectacular scenic views. The trail also offers breathtaking waterfalls and colourful wildflowers to complete this picture. There are large rock pools which are inviting to hikers especially in the hot and dry summer months.
Along the trail you will more than likely come across a variety of small buck species, dassie and the local baboons.
Permits are necessary for this trail and are available in the Sonderend State Forest in Robertson.
This is a lovely way to spend the day with the whole family. The trail is relatively difficult but can also be walked over two days with a stay over in the town. Camping is not allowed on the trail.
