Between Robertson and Bonnievale, in the beautiful Breede River Valley lies the Van Loveren Estate which was acquired by the Retief family in 1937 and named after renamed after Christina van Loveren an ancestor of the Retief family. The farm in owned and run by the Retief family, from the wine making to the gardens. The family invite you to come hand spend some time in the beautiful gardens, just soaking in the peace and tranquility and to taste their wines under the large shade trees. Initially, only producing sweet fortified wines on the Van Loveren Estate, the wine cellar was modernized and the estate now markets over 23 different wines under the Van Loveren Label.
