Thornwood is a luxury private retreat within a Private Game Park of pristine
natural bush offering self guided walking trails amongst an abundance of birds
and game. The park is situated in the heart of Southern Maputaland and is a
neighbour to the famous Phinda Game Reserve and The Isimangaliso /Greater St
Lucia Wetland Park, a registered world heritage site. The Hluhluwe - Imfolozi
Park, known for its Big 5, is right on your doorstep as well as a wide variety
of activities and interesting sites to visit.
Thornwood offers luxury accommodation for up to 8 people in a self-catering,
fully serviced, upmarket lodge. A unique blend of luxury timber frame units, fit
seamlessly into the surrounding bush. Relax in the spacious lounge,
entertainment area, pool, or fire deck without losing the intimacy with nature.

From Durban take the N2 freeway, take the Sodwana Bay / Hluhluwe offramp turn right and travel through Hluhluwe Town. Turn left at the fourth/last roundabout towards Sodwana Bay (R22). Turn right onto the new Sodwana Bay road, cross the railway line, after about 16km, you will see the sign for Kuleni Game Park. Turn left onto a small dirt road to the entrance gate and the gate guard will direct you to Thornwood.
