Nestled in the heart of the Waterberg, Tholo Lodge invites you to experience
the African Bush in its true splendor. Malaria free, the Lodge is only 250km
from Pretoria, and situated in the exclusive Tholo Bush Estate, a Nature Estate
of 2000ha.
Stretched along the riverbanks, the rustic thatch and rock structures blends in
perfectly with the surroundings. There are 6 spacious, luxurious chalets, each
with a private deck, walk-in closet and beautiful en-suite bathroom, sleeping 2
per chalet. Extra bed can be provided if so desired.
Breakfasts are served out on the deck, overlooking the dam, surrounded by
breathtaking views of the mountains.
Enjoy an African bushfire with an open fireplace and cool of in the swimming
pool during warm bushveld summers. Sundowners can be enjoyed on the deck, while
viewing game coming down to drink.
There are plenty to do at Tholo Lodge for those who seek some adventure;
canoeing, fishing, hiking, bird watching and mountain biking.
Game includes Giraffe, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Gemsbok, Waterbuck, Impala,
Klipspringer and many more. For those with patience and sheer endurance,
sightings of the many Leopards roaming the property are also possible! Game
drives can be arranged on arrival. You will be filled with awe for the elemental
essence of Africa.
