"The Stables" at Bushman's River Mouth.Designed around a secluded garden courtyard this holiday home provides privacy and security. Everything is within easy strolling distance - river, beaches, shops, caravan park and tennis courts.

This fully equipped home has five bedrooms, four with double beds and one with five single beds. It has four ablutions, two with shower, basin and toilet, one with bath, basin and toilet, and one separate toilet. It comfortably accommodates thirteen people. Its outdoor design includes a covered barbeque and dining area, two outside showers, a front porch and ample parking space. There is a comprehensive security alarm system linked to an armed response.

The Bushman's River Mouth village is situated opposite Kenton-on-Sea across the Bushman's River. Main features are its easy access to the pristine tidal river and kilometres of magnificent unspoilt sandy beaches.It also has the Alexandria Hiking Trail (acclaimed for its dune fields) in close vicinity at Alexandria, and boasts wildlife viewing in the malaria-free Eastern Cape Valley Bushveld habitat.

The village is well- situated for river and beach activities. The riverfront comprises a calm estuary and the seafront comprises long stretches of unspoiled sandy beaches. Dolphins and whales are spotted herebetween August and December. A walk along the beach, also popular for surf fishing and sand-boarding, passes the remains of the shipwrecked Volo and leads to Kwaaihoek, the site of the historic Dias Cross.

Across the river mouth, towards Kenton-on-Sea, beautiful sheltered bays and rocky coves ideal for snorkelling abound along a walking trail that stretches to the Kariega River.

The Bushman's River with its more than 22 kilometre stretch of open water (making it the second-longest navigable river in South Africa) offers opportunities for day and night fishing, canoeing, boating, sailing, water-skiing, wake boarding, wind and kite surfing. Various game reserves have been established along the upper reaches of the both the Bushman's and Kariega rivers. This has brought opportunities to spot wild life from the river andhas promoted the preservation of riverine bush including protected plant species such as the cycad. The wetland reserve on the banks of the Bushman's River is particularly renowned for its bird-life. Resident fish eagles provide exciting viewing.
