1. Your Apartment:
This is a luxurious self catering holiday apartment . Oubaai is the ultimate
destination for a relaxing stay on the Garden route and is the ideal getaway for
golfers, birders, loafers, surfers and the rest. Something for all.
Village Heights 26 is a spacious 2 bedroom duplex unit. It accommodates up to 4
adults. Sleeping arrangements are either 1x double bed and 2x single or 4x
single. It has been stylishly and luxuriously decorated. The unit is fully
equipped and includes a washer and dryer combo.
2. FACILITIES & SERVICES:
The unit has a beautiful view of the Outeniqua Mountains and the golf course as
well as distant sea views. You can enjoy a braai (barbecue) on the covered patio
or on the lawn in front of the apartment. The apartment has a TV with Premium
Bouquet (DSTV) and a DVD player.
Sport and recreation Centre: Play squash or gym. Nice pool to relax and a lap
pool to train. Also golf shop to spend a bit on Ernie Els designer ware.
Cleaning: The unit is cleaned to a very high standard before and after your
stay. You can also make use of this service right through your stay if you wish.
The cost is for your own account though and has to be settled directly with
cleaning company. (Van Rensburgs Cleaning Services)
Children: Oubaai golf estate is child friendly, with a few strategically placed
playground areas around the Village. Children of all ages are also allowed in
the clubhouse.
3. DINING:
Eat out, at either the members clubhouse which serves breakfast, lunch and
dinner, or you could try one of the many excellent local restaurants. Within
walking distance from your apartment you also have an excellent restaurant "The
Waterford" which is adjacent to the Hyatt Hotel. If you prefer you can also eat
out at the Hyatt Hotel.
4. GOLF:
Oubaai golf estate is an Ernie Els signature course. It is one of the top links
golf courses in South Africa. It is also in close proximity of other well known
golf courses on the Garden route. There is also a lovely driving range to iron
out your rusty golf swing. Please enquire at the driving range regarding
conditions of play.
5. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS:
There is a beautiful hiking trail around the estate which goes down into the
Gwaing river valley and winds it's way to the spectacular whale/dolphin viewing
point. If you prefer, you can also arrange for a picnic basket and drive down to
this secluded spot by means of a golf cart. Arrange this in advance with the
club house catering. Be on the look out for the Southern Right whales which
frequently frolic along the garden route.
The unspoilt coastal fynbos also makes it a popular spot for bird watching. Safe
swimming beaches are in close proximity with the scenic Herolds Bay beach only a
5 minutes drive from Oubaai. You also have the whole beautiful Garden Route on
your doorstep with many places to visit.
