The four acre property on which the laughing forest exists is home to impete buck, birds, monkeys, mongoose and other wildlife. A 10 meter path across the rail line and admiralty reserve links the property to the beach sand. The Elysium beach is very private and clean. Tidal pools are situated within easy walking distance and also at low tide in front of the property.

The accommodation consists of 9 self catering log cabins which are scattered amongst the indigenous bush. All fully insulated cabins (totaling 60m2) sleep 5 (1 double, 1 single and 1 bunk bed). Each unit contains a main bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, open plan kitchen and lounge/2ndbedroom, which lead onto a sundeck. All kitchens are fully equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, mini oven, kettle, toaster, etc. Each unit is fitted with an alarm and the pool and entertainment area has TV with DStv.

All linen is supplied, please bring your own beach and bath towels.

Group functions/ family gatherings, including catering is available on request.

The Laughing Forest will restore your energy. The tranquility of the resort combined with the close proximity of the sea lends itself to quiet time and long walks on the beach. Other activities however do exist - Scottburgh (20 minutes drive).
