The King's Place is a small holding set on 8 acres of prime agricultural land in
the lush seaside valley of
Hout Bay, Cape Town. Secluded and peaceful, it is
surrounded by a magnificent garden with views of the back of
Table Mountain
and the Constantiaberg. We can accommodate 26 guests in total. The King's place
has 2 beautiful swimming pools and a tennis court.
VALLEY HOUSE is the name of our self-catering holiday home. It is set on
the upper slope of our guest farm. It is a luxurious country experience enhanced
by carefully selected furnishings and fabrics. It is a large home that can be
rented as 1 unit or as 2 private separate units.
Valley House is therefore ideal for a couple wanting a romantic getaway to a
group of 18 to 20 people.
- VALLEY HOUSE 1 has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (sleeps 5 to 12 people)
- VALLEY HOUSE 2 has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom (sleeps 1 to 4 people + 2
children on bunks in passage area)
- VALLEY HOUSE 1 and 2 has 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms (sleeps up to 20
people)
Both units have their own private entrance and braai area. Access is direct from
the living areas to the outdoor terraces overlooking the beautiful swimming
pool, tennis court, paddocks and mountains. The master bedrooms are furnished
with queen size beds, top quality linens, tasteful furnishings and en-suite
bathrooms. All bathrooms are newly refurbished. The kitchens are equipped with
every convenience, including washing machine, dishwasher, hob & microwave.
THE KING'S APARTMENT, THE KING'S COTTAGE AND THE POOL ROOM
These 3 places are situated about 30 metres from Valley House and share a
beautiful large swimming pool. They all have open plan kitchens and lounge areas
with sliding doors to there respective outdoor terraces.
- THE KING'S APARTMENT is up a flight of stairs and has 2 bedrooms, 1
full bathroom. It is a beautiful, spacious and sunny home. (Sleeps 4). It
opens out onto the balcony which overlooks the pool and mountains.
- THE KING'S COTTAGE is ideal for a couple and is tucked away and
completely private. 1 bedroom, en-suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet).
- THE POOL ROOM is ideal for a couple or a couple and child. It is
a spacious and light cottage with 1 bedroom furnished with a queen size bed,
a bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet, a spare bed behind the lounge.
An open plan kitchen and lounge that leads out onto the terrace, BBQ (braai)
area and pool. There are beautiful views of the garden, pool and majestic
mountains
All accommodation at The King's Place has DSTV (satellite TV) in their
respective lounges. Guests are welcome to use of our Vodafone Mobile Connect USB
Stick to gain internet access. We provide top quality linens and towels which
are changed weekly or as requested. For the energetic, there is a beautiful 11m
swimming pool and a tennis court. The property is well secured with an alarm
system, off-street parking and remote controlled gates.
The kilometre-long white sandy beach is a 5 minute drive away, with the world-famous Chapman's Peak and the Sentinel opening the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean...
Activities in Hout Bay:
"The World of Birds", horse riding, cruises to seal island, mountaineering, hiking, surfing, sea kayaking, shopping, wine tasting and a wonderful selection of restaurants.
Nearby activities:
The King's Place is a working farm. We have a wholesale nursery where we grow a variety of plants both in green houses and in the fields.. We also have a small free range chicken farm with about 100 chickens and a growing number of Chinese geese. (We only sell the eggs!) The property has beautiful equestrian facilities where stables are fit for a King. We stable up to 12 horses.
