The Cape Colonial is an established Guest House in a residential area at the foot of Table Mountain and has been in operation since 1996.

It is a Victorian town house which has been restored with great care and attention to detail preserving many of its original features. It is situated in a quiet side street behind the famous Mount Nelson Hotel and just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre through the beautiful Company Garden. The Table Mountain Cable Car is 5 minutes' drive away and the beaches of Camps Bay and the V & A Waterfront are 10 minutes away. Its central but quiet location make it an ideal starting point for exploring Cape Town and its surroundings

Our 6 tastefully appointed rooms are furnished in colonial style. They are all en-suite and have direct-dialling telephones, TVs and tea or coffee making facilities. Four rooms are double and 2 are twin rooms including the Zebra Room, our most spacious room, which has its own balcony. Wireless internet is also available throughout the house. Our rates include a generous continental or English breakfast.

We arrange airport transfers on request as well as tours to the major local attactions such as Cape Point and the Winelands.

Feel free to enjoy an early-evening drink on our patio before going around the corner to Kloof Street with its many bars and restaurants ranging from "easy eating" to "fine dining", all within safe walking distance. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for tips on where to eat and what to do in our beautiful city.
