THE BUSH LUXURY SELF CATERING LODGE
Bush Lodge (Self Catering) (GAME NEARBY) Accommodation
in Marloth Park, Lowveld & Kruger National Park,
Mpumalanga, South Africa
This beautifully furnished Self-Catering lodge offers three large bedrooms, 2
bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with 2 single beds, sleeping 6 adults
and 2 full bathrooms both with a shower and a bath. An open plan kitchen fully
furnished with all cooking utensils, gas braai, stove, oven, fridge/freezer and
Microwave oven. The living room is furnished with leather couches that create a
feeling of luxurious living in the bush. All rooms are fitted with fans and have
double wooden doors leading outside to the wooden deck overlooking a Spruit
running through the property in pristine Bushveld. The 2nd storey offers a
family room with television and DSTV, a wooden deck with Gas Cooker overlooking
the Lionspruit Nature Reserve. Buffalo are often spotted from this point late
afternoons and early evenings while enjoying a refreshing sundowner. The outside
lapa offers braai facilities for a nice bush braai. This lodge is situated in
the heart of the Lowveld in Marlothpark Holiday Township, 100km east from
Nelspruit. There are two small supermarkets selling fresh bread and basic
necessities, but it is better to bring your own groceries along. A restaurant in
Marloth Park offers nicely prepared meals if you are not in the mood of
preparing your own food.
This is a very secluded lodge bordering a Nature reserve that is home to a
number of game species including Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino, 1km from the
Kruger National Park's fence on the Crocodile River and 15min drive from the
Crocodile Bridge gate. The Big Five are often spotted along this fence, visiting
the Crocodile River.
The roar of the Lion and howl of the Hyena are regularly heard from the lodge
and sometimes Lions are seen, along the fence of Lionspruit. There is abundant
bird life, which makes this ideal place to spot rare species like the Eastern
Nicator. Game like Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Impala and Warthogs are daily
visitors to this site.
This lodge is not serviced, but bedding is provided.
