Thakadu Game Lodge invites you to come and taste the Bushveld in an
unforgettable experience of its natural wonders. Thakadu Game Lodge was
established in 1993 by developing 700ha of indigenous Bushveld in an enclosed
nature conservation area.
Retreat to splendid seclusion on the foot of the Waterberg. Come for a weekend
or a week and experience the African Bush at its finest.

Accommodation
At Thakadu Game Lodge a selected number of guests are accommodated in delightful
African-style thatched Chalets which have a rustic finish, that adds to the true
Bushveld atmosphere. All of them are equipped with electricity and a comfortable
standard. The Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 47 people.
The chalets are Rock built in the indigenous bush and provide quests with
privacy whilst being within 200m of the main lapa.
Kome and Tolo each have 3 bedrooms each with 2 double beds and in the one
room 2 bunk beds (Sleeps 4) with bathroom (shower), kitchenette, lounge and
private braai area. Both chalet can accommodate 8 people each. All bedrooms are
equipped with fans.
Dube have 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms have double beds and 1 room have a bunk
bed (sleeps 2) with bathroom (shower), kitchenette, lounge and private braai
area. Accommodate 6 people. All bedrooms are equipped with fans.
Kolobe have 3 rooms in which there is a double bed and 2 single beds,
with kitchenette/bar, private braai area, 2 showers and Toilets. Sleeps 12
people. All bedrooms are equipped with fans.
Tsetse and Tau each has 1 Bedroom with Double bed and 2 single beds, with
kitchenette, lounge and private braai area, shower and toilet. All bedrooms are
equipped with fans.
Ingwe 1 Bedroom with Double bed and 3 single beds, with Kitchenette,
Lounge, private braai area, shower and toilet. The bedroom are equipped with
fans.
Catering
African Cuisine is served either in the main Lapa next to the swimming pool with
its view of the African bush where quests may experience the sounds of the
African night live. Local specialties include venison from the farm as well as
homemade preserves.
Weddings
A Wedding here is intimate, private and absolutely special as you are surrounded
by vast & unspoilt wilderness. We create Wedding Packages to suit individual
needs.
Recreation
Guests staying at Thakadu Game lodge are able to enjoy a variety of activities
including game drives, hiking and birding, Hunting or may simply just relax and
unwind next to the swimming pool. You are welcome to bring your bicycles to take
a ride through the bush. Thakadu Game lodge is 14km out of Naboomspruit. We have
a Crocodile farm, Horse riding and restaurants between 10km and 20km from the
Lodge.
