Welcome to Tan-'n-Biki

Here you are enticed by our friendly staff. Our camp is 5 hectares with a 150m beach front. Most of our camp sites are shaded with braai, electricity and water. We have self catering chalets ranging from 4-bed to 10-bed log cabins. The log cabins have excellent sea view. Our ablutions are the best in Mozambique with hot water in abundance. We have 3 swimming pools and also rent out quad bikes. Deep sea fishing charters can be arranged. Full day trips to the idyllic Inhaca island with snorkeling as well as day trips to Maputo through Maputo City Tours. Guests are welcome to bring their own boats, quads, jet skis, etc. We have our own restaurant in the camp that serves the best seafood. Steaks are also in abundance for the meat lover. Ice, beer, cold drinks, bread and charcoal can be purchased in the camp. Fresh fish and prawns are available form the local fishermen.

Where We Are

Tan-'n-Biki is situated on the beautiful Island of Macaneta, 35km north of Maputo in the district of Marracuene. Macaneta is an island between the Nkomati river and the Indian ocean. Here you find tropical pristine unspoilt beaches for 50km.

How To Reach Us

From the village of Marracuene you cross the Nkomati river by ferry (180 mts return), this trip is approx. 10 minutes, but an unforgettable experience. The ferry loads 6 vehicles at a time. After leaving the ferry you travel 6km and turn right at T-junction, travel 600m and find our boards and turn-off to the left. Here you deflate your tyres to 1 bar for your sandy trip to TAN-'N-BIKI. (1.3km).
