Tanglewood Country House, specializes in Wedding Receptions and Special
Occasions, and the venue can be made available for your exclusive use (Subject
to our Minimum Requirements) Our Provencal Banqueting Room, is the ideal venue
for an intimate Wedding of 20 - 40 guests, including the Dance Floor, and is
fitted with Oregon pine floors, Sash Windows, Wrought Iron Chandeliers and
Yellowwood furniture, making it a truly romantic setting for your reception.
Allow your guests time to relax, with a glass of chilled Champagne in our
gardens, while your photographer creates perfect memories of your special day.
Your personal Wedding Coordinator has years of experience, in both Function and
Wedding Coordinating, and is a City and Guilds Accredited Chef.
For those of you looking for a larger Wedding Reception, 45 - 120 guests, we
offer a White Framed Marquee, set in our beautiful gardens, with views
stretching over rolling green hills and Indigenous forests. All hiring and
draping arrangements will be handled by us, taking that unnecessary pressure off
your shoulders.
Arrive at this historic venue in a Horse drawn Carriage, from the nearby St.
Andrews
Dargle Church or the Crab Apple Chapel, and be greeted by our team of
friendly and professional staff. Menus are Tailor Made, to suit your individual
tastes and requirements, and most of our produce is sourced from local farms, as
well as organic fruit, vegetables and herbs from our own garden.
Tanglewood Country House, is situated on the
Midlands Meander, only 15 minutes
from Midmar Dam, which ensures
there is always something for you to do. Hiking, Quad Bike trails, Fly Fishing,
Horse Riding, Golf and Bird Watching are all situated within close proximity for
the more adventurous guests.
We offer 9, individually decorated en suite bedrooms, each decorated with
Vintage furniture, to compliment the Era of the building, and all our rooms have
cozy warming blankets for those chilly winter evenings.
Televisions and roaring log fires can be found downstairs in our delightful
country pub, and lounge areas.
Our Country Pub makes for the perfect place for your guests to enjoy a warming
glass of Sherry or Gluwhein, on those chilly winter afternoons.
Breakfast or brunch, can be enjoyed the following morning in the gardens,
weather permitting.
We offer a fully licensed bar and an á la Carte restaurant for lunches and
dinners.

Situated on a tarred road, we are only 1, and a half hours from Durban, and 5
hours from Johannesburg.
