Serendipity Guest House is situated on the banks of the Touw River and borders on to the
Wilderness National Park, a UNESCO proclaimed water bird conservancy.
We have four en-suite bedrooms with quality linen, underfloor heating and ceiling fans. Guest Lounge with fire place and library is inviting and softly furnished to pamper. Delectable country breakfasts are served in the breakfast room or outside on the terrace. Security is provided by security gates and parking in the basement. Our rooms are Wi-Fi Broadband enabled.

Dinner is a sociable five-course gourmet experience around antique family heirlooms, all dressed up in white linen, set with crystal, candles, polished silver and imported glasses - remember to reserve your table when booking your accommodation! Lizelle, the chef, graduated from
Pretoria University and Prue Leith Academy of Food and Wine. The food is a delicious fusion of the best and freshest South African delicacies combined with international spices and condiments and methodologies. Rudolf is the sayer of grace, maitre d', sommelier and wine steward and occasional raconteur. He serves pre-dinner aperitifs on the water's edge, while guests to enjoy the crimson sunset and watch the many water birds visiting the property.
The Guest House is enveloped by a lush, indigenous sculpted garden. The protected evergreen Outeniqua forests and the water bird sanctuary cradle the house. The misty- morning hanging over the wetlands entice late rising after an evening of gemütlichkeit, bonhomie and ubuntu in the restaurant.
Canoeing the rivers and waterways, abseiling the cliffs, walking the miles of empty white sand beaches and watching dolphins, whales and rare birds, fishing the river or the sea, mountain biking and even overnight mountain hiking are all within minutes from your home-from-home.
A steam train trip to
George Golf Club; and the Ernie Els Ou Baai Golf Resort. Other highly rated golf courses such as Pezula Golf Estate and Pinnacle Point Golf Estate, are only 45 minutes away.
For the more relaxed forty minutes away are the fascinating town of
Knysna with its annual oyster festival, historic Mossel Bay with its casino and
Oudtshoorn with its
Cango Caves and ostriches.
Serendipity is situated in the heart of the Garden Route and is an excellent home from which to plan your daily activities. A three day stay is recommended.
