Self- Catering Accommodation

The 180m2 apartment has stunning panoramic sea-views. This apartment is on the first floor and is ideally situated. It is just a 250m walk to the Umhlanga promenade and the beach. Searock is just 500m walking distance to the restaurants, supermarkets and main Umhlanga village.

The lounge and two bedrooms are sea-facing, with sliding doors that open out onto a large, sea-facing patio. This apartment has two bathrooms. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and the 2nd bathroom has a shower and a bath.

The bed configuration is as follows:

  • Master bedroom - a king size bed (sea facing)
  • 2nd bedroom - a queen size bed (sea- facing)
  • The 3rd bedroom has two x single beds


In the evenings at Searock, enjoy the lights of the ships glint off the sea like fireflies, while you contemplate the luxuries that await, tomorrow. Outdoor table and chairs are available on the patio for the outdoor escapes to enjoy an espresso or alfresco meals. You will treasure memories of this exclusive ocean view holiday apartment.

“Quiet, relaxing and a place to recharge your batteries”

Searock is an extremely comfortable and well-equipped apartment. The unit has stunning sea views that can be enjoyed from two of the bedrooms and the lounge. The veranda enjoys morning sun until midday and then there is shade enabling you to take in the picturesque views whilst relaxing on the patio furniture.

The kitchen is well equipped with a modern washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.

The unit is serviced every alternate day and the lady is willing to do laundry for a small fee.

The unit has a double electric garage together with security present every evening.

The location is suitable for all travellers as it is five minutes to the seafront and shops. 

Filip was the perfect host and provides for all your needs whilst on holiday. We will most definitely visit again! 

“Searock is an excellent choice for a family staying in Umhlanga”

My wife and 19 year old daughter and I stayed in the Searock apartment for a week, and were v pleased all around. The owner/manager, Filip Engelen, and his wife Priscilla, are v considerate, attentive, responsive and very professional. The pricing is moderate and affordable. The apartment is a beautifully decorated and maintained three bedroom, with a reasonably well equipped kitchen, a large living and dining area, an expansive terrace, and a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean. WIFI is good. All appliances are quite young in age, the apartment comes with an individual locked garage space for a car. Someone comes to clean every other day, and is open for a modest price to do laundry. Security for the apartment building is quite reliable

A lovely walking path on the ocean begins at the base of the hill, and is either a short walk from the apartment or a short drive to a parking lot at the base of the trail.

Getting into the village is simple, by foot, by car, or by Uber. Oyster Box and Beverly Hills Hotel are both nearby, both have exceptional restaurants and great views. Be sure to make reservations in advance.

 The commute to downtown Durban is 15-20 minutes and easily navigated.

The commute to Shaka International Airport is a simple 15-20 minute drive.

"Lovely apartment”

Perfectly located, this apartment is spacious and comfortable and was just right for our family of 5 including three young children. The beds were very comfortable and the maid washed the linen and towels every second day. The apartment was spotless upon arrival and Filip the owner was always on hand to help us with any queries. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely come back. If you're looking for a place within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants with stunning sea views then this is for you. The only thing we missed was that the apartment was not within walking distance of a swimming beach so we had to drive every day - but it is literally a 2 minute drive with ample parking. We would definitely come back!
