There are no words to describe The Tides 6B. It is a beautiful, safe place right on the beach where we had the most amazing time. Everything you might need is there and more. The sea view is stunning. Your privacy is guaranteed. A beautiful, well maintained garden where your dog is safe and happy. This is the only holiday destination I will consider in future, my only regret being that I did not find it sooner. It is perfect.

We were welcomed by Paul on arrival. Paul showed us around and all I can say is Wow!! So spacious and clean and a lit of attention to detail. Lovely recliners in the lounge to watch tv.. Has full DSTV. The kitchen has everything you need.. Including a dishwasher and dishwasher tablets. Both bedrooms are spacious and a great shower. Loved the undercover verandah and wooden deck.. Beautiful view of the sea. Spotted some whales. The Jacuzzi is for our exclusive use. We had a braai every night.. Put our music on and danced on the deck under the stars. The beach is so close and easy access to it. Loved every minute.. Will definately be back

The Tides gives an entire new meaning to "right on the beach". Uninterrupted sea views at a quiet part of the Umzumbe beachfront. We sat for hours on the deck reading and watching whales. The Jacuzzi with a sea view is a whole new experience. This place is heaven on earth! Everything was in place and there's even a dishwasher. The host is friendly and considerate. We will definitely be back! So glad we discovered this gem!

Wow ! This was truly a blessing. Views unsurpassed. We could just relax and soak up the sun and enjoy the blissful peace and tranquility. If you need to replenish your weary soul - this is the place to be.... Fully equipped. Sauna... and two jacuzzis to relax in after the heat. Child friendly and so utmost wonderful - we have 4 small dogs and they were ALL welcomed with open arms. We shall most surely return...Thank you Paul - we appreciate you...

Everything you could ask for and more! When we weren't relaxing in one of the jacuzzis we were on the beach. And so happy to have our two dogs with us. This really made the holiday special. This is an excellent choice for a relaxing quiet holiday.

It has been the best holiday that we have had since we started coming to KZN a few years ago. We enjoyed the house, that is very well equipped from the amazing patio to the beautiful bathrooms. Thank you for thinking of things like good pillows and the most comfortable couches with blankets! (And beautiful paintings!)

It really is a beautiful house, with the most amazing views! I was in awe, standing on the deck, being able to take pictures of the whales breaching.

I would like to thank you again for welcoming our (very noisy) dachies and parrot. They loved playing with the poodles, and running their hearts out on the beach. We looked forward to every morning's walk on the beach, that seems to change daily. The lagoon was definitely a favourite of our dogs, and the train that came past every so often added so much charm to our holiday.

We would love to come and visit again in the near future. Thank you for being such kind hosts!

The views from 6B are spectacular and it is literally right on the beach. We saw whales and dolphins every day and our kids loved playing in the rock pools and collecting shells.

On one of the days that we were there it was rainy and cold, so the jacuzzi and sauna were very welcome extras, as were the cosy and comfortable sofas and full DSTV in the cottage.

Paul was a wonderful host, we had lots of privacy, but he was there to help whenever we needed him.

We will definitely be back.

The place is very well kept. Beautiful views and literally on the beach. 100% privacy! The place is well secured with security beams and electric fencing around the entire property.We will definitely be returning for sure.

Stunning 180 views of the ocean - spotting dolphins and whales every day during our stay. Add a sauna and Jacuzzi to the breaker views and a 1 minute walk down to the beach and you have the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

This is long overdue but really wanted to express what an incredible time we had at The Tides. We just went for the weekend but it felt like a week. It’s the kind of place that one can totally let go and relax. The house is clean, fully equipped with everything we needed and in a beautiful location. We had the privilege of seeing dolphins, watching the most beautiful sunrise and going for amazing long walks on the beach. We took our 4 month old Jack Russell with us and he had the time of his life. The owners are lovely people and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend this place, it’s paradise!

Another wonderful visit at The Tides 6B! It is our fifth visit and because we enjoy the warm hospitality, peace and beautiful surroundings so much, we extended our stay to 4x days instead of our usual 2x day weekend! As always, we had everything we could possibly want or need right on hand as the unit is very well equipped! This includes the exclusive use, sauna and Jacuzzi, with the beach right on your door-step! We hope to be back for our sixth visit soon...!

We have just enjoyed another wonderful stay at 6B The Tides! Come rain, come shine it really doesn't matter as there is so much to enjoy! Firstly the view of the ocean is breath-taking. Then there's the hot and cold Jacuzzi's and even a sauna for the health-conscious! All this before you even step inside the unit which is well-stocked, with everything you could possibly need. A real home away from home! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Awesome place, view is spectacular, didn't have great weather but that was fine as we had the hot tub which we absolutely loved. Paul and his wife are wonderful people. It was peaceful and relaxing. Well worth it.

It is a truly an amazing place! Pictures don't do it justice and I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The weather wasn't great but thanks to brilliant facilities it didn't make much of a difference. It is definitely at the top of my list of places to stay on the South Coast. Wow what an amazing place. The view is spectacular with Whales and Dolphins swimming past daily. Sunrises to die for and comfort throughout. If you want rest and relaxation this is the place for you.

Although it poured with rain for the entire weekend it really didn't matter as the wonderful view and the lovely accommodation more than made up for the weather. Our hosts ensured that every need was met and more! The warm water spa added to the feeling of luxury and we left...with regret...feeling relaxed and pampered! We will be back for more!

We wanted a place close to the beach with sea view, which is pet-friendly (and safe for pets) and where we could just hide for a weekend. The Tides 6B ticked all the boxes - in fact a weekend was way to short! We and our two fur-kids had a lovely stay and will without a doubt recommend anyone to stay there.

We had the most peaceful stay at the tides. It has the most beautiful view of the ocean as well as amazing facilities. Paul and his wife made us feel right at home and our little Yorkie enjoyed her stay just as much as we did. It truly is a little piece of heaven that we were blessed enough to experience. Thank you so very much!

Must be one of the best pet friendly accommodations we have ever booked and we will most definitely return to in future, (as this is our second visit to this splendid place)!! And with our autistic child, we all felt so at home. Any place where my doggies and my child are welcome and at home, is definitely a place with a top rating in my category of holiday accommodation. We stayed at the Tides for nearly a week and my son's verdict: Can we please stay here forever! A perfect week with my husband, son, sister and her boyfriend. Very friendly welcome, beautiful house with all amenities, a view that is breathtaking. Sitting on the terrace sipping South African wine, the ocean a few meters away with a near private beach and the excellent weather, the cute and adorable dogs (they are such good child entertainment - a special fee could be charged for them), the jacuzzi just supererb - a restorative week we will never forget and showing the photos to friends and family back home in France made everyone very jealous of our stay at The Tides!

This is a home away from home, with friendly hosts, a beautiful location and a tasteful guest house you'll be sure to return. Thank you Paul , we'll see you soon.

Everything was perfect - the house is spacious and well appointed with all the mod-cons one could possibly need, the beach is literally on the doorstep and the hosts are simply special.

The view from the jacuzzi is unsurpassed and it was the hi-lite of each day to end it off in there!

There are very few pet-friendly venues around and your's is one of the best!

The house is within easy driving distance of all the major beaches and towns on the South Coast, with Hiberdene and Port Shepstone a stone's throw away for anything one may need.

We will definitely be back.

You can see the owners at Tides 6B have lots of pride in their unit. You can expect homely luxury, unlike most colder holiday residences. The house is equipped with a personal touch, is immaculately clean, has an amazing Solardom Oven which makes cooking a pleasure, to mention a few perks. The 6-8 seater Jacuzzi is the perfect way to end a day at the beach. Although the owners live above, we didn't feel any less private. Walk through the garden over the railway and you're on your own private beach. If you want to swim safely the Main Beach at Umzumbe is lovely, and only a few minutes away. The leather couch folds out so you can relax and watch your flat screen TV with DSTV. Paul was the most friendly and welcoming host we have come across and definitely takes pride in his little paradise by the sea. You're close to the most wonderful secret beaches all the way up to Port Edward ( only 45 minutes away) so exploring is easy. We miss Icon the ball obsessed Poodle, and will definitely be back. Hard to find such homely accommodation on the South Coast. We will be back.

When one books ones accommodation one never knows what to expect. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. "The Tides" is a little piece of heaven; peaceful and serene. I was concerned that there was no pool as my kids are water babies, but I can safely say that the Jazuzzi certainly made up for it. They spent every waking moment in it. It is pet friendly and our cockaspaniel "Willow" loved the open spaces and the birds. Safety and security was the least of our concern as this was taken care of. I will certainly recommend "The Tides" to family and friends and my family and I will definitely go back . Thank You to Mr Paul Grutter for his kindness and hospitality. Best accommodation by far!!!

Hierdie was een van die lekkerste vakansies nog gewees! Ons was vriendelik verwelkom. Die plek was skoon en het alles gehad wat ons moontlik nodig kon hê. Skottelgoedwasser was n groot plus punt! Die see uitsig was besonders. Om in die jacuzzi te sit en na die see te kyk was n eerste vir ons. Ons honde, 2 Jack Russels, het dit terdee geniet. Hulle kon vrylik in die erf rond hardloop. Ons was lekker naby aan die strand. Nie te veel trappe nie, en die paadjie was skoon en netjies. Ons het baie veilig gevoel. Ons beveel The Tides 6b aan en sal beslis weer gaan!!!

We wanted to give my mom of 90 years a special treat in the Pumula area as she have fond memories of the Pumula Hotel specifically we considered a few options. Thank goodness we made the right decision.
Our week-end breakaway was absolutely fantastic. The quiet and tranquil surroundings were certainly blissfull along with the fact that we could enjoy our sundowners hearing the waves and watching the whales - just a cherry on the cake.

Amazing sea view. You can take long romantic beach walks to both sides. In the evening we saw the moon rise over the ocean , mornings we enjoyed a coffee while the sun rose over the beautiful clean waters.

What an amazing place to spend a holiday. We finally found exactly what we were looking for. Lovely view, beautiful place with more than what you need and the cherry on the cake is the jaquzzi, but most of all our furry kids was allowed and the venue is fenced for them to wander around. This place is definitely on top of my list.

We have just had a fantastic relaxing holiday at the tides 6b. An awesome home away from home with everything you need. The hosts Paul and Desiree make you feel at home and are very welcoming. Even our little dog enjoyed the tides!! This really is a great place to spend your break and I highly recommend the tides 6b.
