Such an amazing experience from start to finish! Vanessa and Steve made our little getaway so special. We stayed in a luxury tented camp (Ituri 1) and loved every second that we were there (although the splash pool is a little on the cold side). Due to weather (crazy winds) we had to move to a log cabin for one night which was great but we were so sad to leave our tent. As we couldn't do our planned braai that night we were given a free dinner at the restaurant as part of Steve's endless generosity. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the views are incredible, the restaurant is great, the lodge itself is immaculate and well taken care of. Steve genuinely cares for every one of his guests (he was driving kids around on his bakkie for fun on the one day). We were so sad to say goodbye to Pledge and Steve when we left (I wanted to cry).
There is so much to say about this amazing place but rather go there are experience it for yourself!
Steve, thank you for giving us the opportunity to relax and unwind at your amazing lodge, we will never forget our New Year celebrations and holiday at Amafu and we will definitely take you up on the offer and will be back as soon as we can.
