Resthaven is situated in Matatiele which is the gateway to southern Lesotho
with Qacha's Nek and Ramatseliso's gate border posts within one hours drive. We
are situated on the R56 the alternative tarred route to the Cape via the
beautiful scenic Southern Drakensberg and Semi Karoo route. The area around
Matatiele offers birdwatching as the rare Rudd's Lark occurs in the area. Trout,
Bass and Carp fishing is done in the surrounding area. There is a beautiful
hiking trail, the Mehlloding hiking trail offers a 1 - 5 day hike. Resthaven
Guesthouse also offers internet to the guests. Resthaven Guesthouse has 22
bedrooms among which are selfcatering, bussiness class, luxury, V.I.P suite and
a honeymoon suite.

Resthaven Guesthouse has 19 rooms with one double bed in each and three other
rooms with one 3/4 bed. We offer secure under roof parking.All interior of
buildings are non-smoking, however there are smoking areas in the garden.
There are braai facilities in the beautiful spacious gardens. Resthaven
Guesthouse offers a full English breakfast with fruitjuice, fillter water, tea
and coffee freely available to guests. Buffet dinners are served everynight but
booking is essential.

and wonderful hearty home cooking with delicious home made puddings.
