TURTLE COVE
Seafood Restaurant
in Tofo, Inhambane / Maputo,
Mozambique, Africa
Turtle Cove was first established in 1994 by
avid surfer, Nic Tasioulas, who boldly settled in Mozambique in those early
days. Today, Turtle Cove remains legendary, and after an extraordinary revamp,
the lodge offers an exotic ambiance amidst the Palm gardens. Built with a
striking blend of Mozambican, Ethiopian and Moroccan architecture, the space
offers a cool haven for guests to laze about the comfortable couches and
hammocks.
Situated 20kms from the old town of Inhamane among hundreds
of Coconut Palms, Turtle Cove offers a relaxing and friendly atmosphere with a
personal touch.
BAR & RESTAURANT
Freshly caught fish and prawns are superbly prepared together with local
specialties, vegetarian specials, as well as the popular sushi evenings. Dinner
time is a relaxed affair where guests gather around the bar for sundowners to
talk about the highlights of the day and typically viewing some footage of the
surf taking off at Tofinho point. On occasions there would be live music around
the fire after dinner.
