This beautiful turn of the century Cape Dutch style house, were Esme' Everaardt was born and lived in, is unchanged and rekindles old school charm of childhood memories long passed.
Your hosts Henk and Linette will cater to your every need and should you have a special request, you only need ask. We aim to keep you cool in summer with air-conditioning and romantically warm during the winter months with the original fire-place. The tables are adorned with white Damask, fine silver cutlery and Crystal glasses. Add to that, candles, soft lighting, soothing background music and a crackling fire. The scene is now set for us to seduce you with our food.
We are known for our generous portions and flair with local cuisine, which cross-dresses with fine dining. In a nutshell "THE FAMOUS PIGOUT RESTAURANT" is an experience in slow food you cannot afford to miss!
To compliment your food there is an excellent selection of wines availible for you to choose from. We are fortunate to offer the connoisseur a truly outstanding collection of * Sommeliers Wines, which are chilled to perfection. * (William Everson Shiraz 2002,Morgenster 2001, Veenwouden 2001 Merlot, Engelbrecht Els 2003, Babylons Peak Estate 2003)
There is a gorgeous sleeper wood bar adjacent to the restaurant, which is fully licensed. Should you wish, you may dine under the stars in our beautiful garden area, where light meals are served during the day.
We are very proud of our organic vegetable garden with seasonal vegetables which is used to dress your plate. Please note that we are a family restaurant and children are always welcome.
