The Owl's Nest Restaurant is situated conveniently along the N2 between Port
Elizabeth and Jeffrey's Bay in a small farming community named Thornhill. It's
surrounded by rugged farm land and can best be described as tranquil and
peaceful away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Owl's Nest was founded by Marie Geldenhuys and is run by both Marie and Devon
Glazer. Owl's Nest Head Chef, Devon Glazer who is a member of the South African
Chef's Association, is extremely talented in providing delicious farm-styled
meals adding new twists to the old traditionally designed dishes.
The Owl's establishment is homely and the hospitality friendly. Every menu is
carefully planned and ingredients sourced. Owl's prides itself on the fact that
it does not use any frozen or processed foods when preparing a meal. Here at
Owl's Nest we make our own Hamburger Patties and use fresh cut potatoes for
their fried chips, to name a few. This careful planning can be seen in all their
dishes, as great care is taken to ensure that their guests enjoy every bite.
The result is delicious home-style cooking for each and every meal.
Delicious and Scrumptious Sunday Lunches are available which includes a 3 Course
Meal, with a starter, a lovely roast and hot veggies ending off with a
delectable dessert.
Another aspect to enjoy while at Owl's Restaurant is the tastefully decorated
interior and the lovely scenery that can be enjoyed from our outside veranda, as
well as a fully licenced Bar available to our guests.
