Only 2 hour drive from Cape Town, nestled in the small country village

Montagu, you are in for a tantalizing dining experience. Mimosa Lodge,
headed by
owner-chef Bernhard Hess is a multiple award-winning restaurant.
Needless to say, being in the Country and bordering on the Small Karoo,
specialties like Karoo Lamb and Loin of Springbok would be the order of
the day.
Accompanied by only the freshest herbs and vegetables, often grown in
Mimosa
Lodges own garden.
Mimosa Lodge serves a 4 Course Gourmet meal which changes on a daily
basis
depending on what fresh produce can be sourced on the day. Montagu
borders to
the Robertson Wine Valley, which is well known for their fine wines. For
the
enthusiastic diner Bernhard offers a Wine & Dine option, carefully
selecting the
wines to accompany each course on the daily menu.
Mimosa Boutique Wines also offers an excellent range of wines which is
made by
Bernhard Hess and consulting Wine Maker Lourens van der Westhuizen of
Arendsig.
The Mimosa Shiraz 2008 received 4 stars in the John Platter Guide and the
Chardonnay 2009 received 3½ stars from Wine Magazine in 2010.
