Formerly, The Colony Room, Luigi's Bar and Restaurant and Die Blou Padde Coffee Shop is now owned
and run by Paul and Jill Hopper who have completely renovated and upgraded the beautiful old
buildings and gardens whilst maintaining the special ambience of the historic old buildings.
Luigi’s provides its guests with an intimate fully licensed pub, a la carte dining by candlelight
and log fires in winter and beneath beautiful vines in summer in an old Victorian property dating
back to the 19th century. The restaurant prides itself on its imaginative modern cuisine inspired by
the simplicity and freshness of Italian cuisine together with the innovativeness of modern
Australian and Asian fusion using local and home grown produce. Fine wines and attentive service
combine to make a refreshing and memorable experience in
Smithfield.
Luigi’s further offers alfresco dining in its beautiful private garden serving breakfasts, teas and
lunches from blackboard menu's which change daily. A coffee shop on the roadside verandah is a
further attraction to this delightful one stop venue, and a well equipped conference room rounds off
our comprehensive service to both the local community and visitors to Smithfield.
