Letaba Junction Lodge is well known in the Letsitele area for its scrumptious
restaurant, overlooking the Letaba River where it quite common to see some
hippos and crocks swimming by. The Letaba Junction as is better known by the
locals is a gem for the Letsitele area, as not only can you get access to the
sports bar, but a great meal, tranquil view and atmosphere at the restaurant for
any occasion. Letaba Junction also officers eight double guest rooms, each with
an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, TV
with DStv, and Wi-Fi Internet access, which is perfect for business travelers,
or tourists on their way to the Kruger National Park or Mozambique.
Letaba Junction Lodge is located on the small of the Letaba River, overlooking
the water which is home to hippos and crocodiles. The Letaba River, also called
Lehlaba, means "sandy river" and starts with the joining of the Great Letaba and
Little Letaba Rivers, which then continue their journey as the Letaba River
until it becomes a tributary of the Olifants River in the foothills of the
Lebombo Mountains near South Africa's border with Mozambique.
The area is rich in activities outside of the premises including game drives on
local game farms, visits to the crocodile farm, golf estates, waterfalls and
museums for guests to explore.
