All Roads leads through Colesberg, as it is the center of South Africa. Enjoy
true Karoo hospitality in this charming Karoo town. The Horse and Mill is a
perfect haven for weary, hungry and thirsty travelers.
We have Hansa and Castle draft on tap. Here you can quench thirst with a pint of
draft or any other cold drink. In summer there is a nice garden where you can
sit outside under the stars in summer and feel the nice Karoo sun in winter. We
have a wide variety or dishes in our restaurant. Karoo Lamb is our specialty.
Our Lamb chops, casserole, curry and ribs are a must. English Breakfast on
request
The Horse and Mill English Pub and Restaurant is in a restored Coach House that
was build in 1840. In it is a real horse mill. It was erected on the farm "Sewenfontein
in 1891. It was renovated and installed into the couch house in 1977. Both the
mill and the coach house are national monuments.
The Horse and Mill pub is a well know meeting place for all Bikers, especially
the Harley's that are having a rally one a year in Colesberg. Their memories are
written all over the walls.
It is also the meeting place of the Colesberg Rotary Club and all the Rotarians
of district 9320 that "meets" here once a year during their PETS (President
Elect Training Seminar)
We are in a little one way street Parallel to the main Road, Just behind Eskom,
and the Co-op. Just follow the direction from the main road.
