Harry Jack’s is a family style restaurant and pub situated at 118 Main Street
, Howick. The restaurant is owned and run by Sean and Rebecca Wakeford who also
own the popular Bierfassl restaurant in Nottingham Road.
Harry Jack’s creates a relaxed ambience for family diners, business
associates and friends to meet and enjoy a meal either sitting out on the deck
overlooking the large leafy garden, or within the restaurant featuring original
features of this circa 1860 property. The deck can seat approximately 80 people
and provides and ideal setting for larger groups to be accommodated. It is
roofed and can be fully enclosed with blinds and has a central Jetmaster
fireplace.
The menu at Harry Jack’s has been created to satisfy all requirements of
family diners. Specialities include mouth watering oxtail served with
traditional mash, chicken and prawn curry, battered hake and chips and many
other favourites. Many menu items are available in half portion sizes.
Children are catered for with an extensive kids menu as well as a jungle gym,
trampoline and bunnies and chickens. Harry Jacks is also available for childrens
parties..
Sundays are a busy day, and booking is essential for an affordable family
buffet lunch. A selection of starters, a roast of the day and desserts is an
easy way to host a family style luncheon without the hassle of standing in your
own kitchen.
Harry Jacks has also created a simple brunch menu which is available from 9am
to 12noon and to cater for those who carry a laptop, Harry Jacks has a wireless
internet connection.
For smaller group functions diners (up to 15 ) can order off the a’la carte
menu and for larger groups buffet menus can be put together to fit the
requirements of the group.
